Meet JECA's founder, Ree Dolnick


JECA was founded in 2015 by Ree Dolnick, who wears many hats. She’s been everything from a mother, to a sous chef, to a cancer researcher. With her culinary and scientific backgrounds, Ree started making all-natural energy bars in her kitchen. They became such a hit with her friends that she started JECA Energy Bar Company. She even named the company after her daughter’s nickname. JECA is a Women-Owned Small Business.

Almond + Dates


JECA Energy Bar Almond + Dates, representing California, is their best-seller. It is a great all-around bar, great for any time and place. Copious amounts of almond make this bar very satisfying and delicious. The bars have soft and chewy texture with the crunchiness from all of the almonds. They are not crumbly and is considered a “no-mess” bar.


JECA Almond and Dates is made with oats, almonds, dates, peanuts, organic agave nectar and salt.



Matcha + Seeds




JECA Energy Bar Matcha + Seeds evokes calm tastes of Japan. Matcha, known for its many antioxidants and metabolism-boosting properties, provides a gentle energy boost. Great for before, during, and after heavy workouts. The bars have soft and chewy texture with crunchiness from all of the seeds. They are not crumbly and is considered a “no-mess” bar.


JECA Matcha and Seeds is made with oats, dates, peanuts, organic agave nectar, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, matcha green tea and salt.



Coconut + Curry


JECA Energy Bar Coconut + Curry is sweet, savory, and spicy. The most adventurous bar, of the three, invokes flavors of Thai and Indian cuisines. Contains turmeric for flavor, as well as its healthful benefits. Makes a great late-afternoon snack. These bars have a soft, chewy texture and are not crumbly with the crunchiness of the peanuts.


JECA Coconut and Curry is made with peanuts, oats, dates, organic agave nectar, organic coconut flakes, spices (including turmeric), salt and little bit of garlic.

Coconut Curry Squash Soup


2 Coconut+Curry JECA Bars

3 Cups Vegetable Broth (or chicken broth)

30 oz Butternut squash

½ tsp Salt

1/3 cup Roasted pumpkin seeds to garnish


Break coconut+curry bars into the vegetable broth and bring to boil. Add squash and salt and simmer for 15 minutes. Blend with a blender. Garnish with pumpkin seeds and serve. Serves 4



JECA Bar Crust


6 JECA bars

1/3 cup honey


Combine the bars with honey and blend. Line cupcake pan with parchment paper. Add blended bars into the pans and hand mold the bottom and partially up the sides. Place in the freezer for 30 minutes. Fill with softened ice cream to the height of the crust. Return to the freezer for at least an hour. Drizzle chocolate on the edges just before serving.
